Tell us three things: your zone, what is growing best right now, and one thing you want to learn this season. I will start: Zone 9b, my pomegranates had their best year ever, and I am learning to save more of my own seed.
My curry leaf plant is still small and I would love a second one for a pot by the kitchen door. If you have a rooted cutting or a spare seedling, I can swap tomato seedlings in spring.
I saved more methi and palak seed than I can sow. Happy to share small packets with nearby gardeners โ tap Interested and tell me your zone.
My 4x8 ft fall layout: garlic along the back edge, carrots and beets in the middle rows, lettuce and palak at the front where I can cut them often. Share a photo or a sketch of your bed โ designing together is half the fun.
A hard spray of water knocks most aphids off. If they come back, neem oil in the evening (never in hot sun) usually ends it. Post a clear photo of your pest problem here and tell us what you see โ clear photos get the best help.
I soaked my garlic cloves overnight and got them in the ground this week. Garlic is one of the easiest wins for a beginner: plant it in fall, forget about it all winter, harvest in early summer. Pointy end up, about 2 inches deep, 6 inches apart. If you're in a warmer or colder zone than 9b, your timing shifts a little โ tell me your zone and what you're putting in the ground this month. Let's compare notes. โ Padma
